Sunday Morning Worship

At 8:30 you will experience a non-traditional worship service that includes time for meditation and group reflection (without a sermon) on readings from the Bible and other literary sources. Holy Communion is shared each week.

At 11:00 you will experience a blended worship service that follows the Lutheran liturgical form with a variety of musical styles, from classical to contemporary. Biblical sermons and Holy Communion are offered weekly. This service includes a children’s message and an attended nursery for children up to age 4. For more on a blended service, click here.

What to Expect

You will be accepted as you are regardless of the clothes you wear, the color of your skin, or the way you speak.

You will be greeted warmly by other worshippers; we're small enough that we know who our guests are on a Sunday morning.

You will not be put on the spot or embarrassed or singled out in any way.

You will be asked to give us your name and address but will not be pressured to do so. This is so we know who is worshipping with us and we might drop you a note in the mail, but we assure you that no one will be harassing you or showing up on your doorstep unannounced.

You will find it easy to follow the service using the detailed bulletin we provide.

You will be uplifted through music from congregational singing, an excellent choir and our accomplished director of music.

You will be inspired and challenged through biblically based, Christ-centered messages that are relevant to your life in today's world.

You will be invited to partake of Holy Communion with us as we welcome all baptized believers to join us at the Lord's Table, no matter what their religious background may be.

You will pass an offering plate down your pew. Offerings are expected of our members, but they are not expected of our guests. If you do choose to make an offering, please do so freely and not because you feel obligated.

Your children will be valued as an important part of our worshipping community with:

  • An attended nursery for children up to age four
  • A children's message during the service at 11:00
  • Special bulletins for children
  • Children's books from a library just for worship
  • An open invitation for all the baptized to receive Holy Communion

Most of all, it is our prayer that you will have the opportunity to join us in offering our praise to God and experience the loving presence of the Spirit through our words, our actions, and the Holy Meal we share.
