Room in the Inn
What if you didn’t have a roof over your head, a warm place to stay and food to eat on a daily basis? Once again, HTLC will work with our neighborhood churches and Urban Ministries to help provide these simple pleasures to a group of "neighbors" every Sunday night December through March. We will be asking for help to provide food, manual labor (not heavy), and personal company to these neighbors on January 10, February 14, and March 14. More specific information is to come.
Saturday Afternoon Movie
Join us for a viewing of The Hurt Locker on Saturday, March 6 at the Fry/Marinaro home (9100 Torrence Creek Ct., Huntersville). We will gather at 1:30 to view the movie followed by discussion. Please bring snacks and drinks to share. This film was nominated for 9 Oscars, including best picture. It is about an elite Army bomb squad unit in Iraq that comes together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb.
Lutheranism 101
Would you like to know more about the teachings of the Lutheran Church? A class will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for those who would like to become members of Holy Trinity and haven’t yet been confirmed in the Lutheran Church. It’s also a great opportunity for lifetime Lutherans to receive a refresher course. The class will meet in the church library with lunch provided. If you’d like to attend, please tell Pastor Nancy so we know how many to prepare for.
