SACRED SPACE - 8:30 Worship

Are you seeking some SACRED SPACE in your life? At Holy Trinity we offer an alternative worship experience on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. This worship differs from our traditional worship at 11:00 a.m. and is for those who are growing in their awareness of God's Spirit working in their lives and seeking to grow within a community of faith. Opportunities for personal meditation and relection are offered at this service. The readings include passages from the Bible along with poetry, literary selections and other readings to stimultate thinking. Each week a brief prepared reflection on the readings is shared by one of the worshippers. (The pastor's sermon for the week is preached only at 11:00 traditional worship.) The 8:30 worship is rich in symbolism and ritual, including a Tibetan Singing Bowl to guide time for quiet reflection as well as the lighting of candles to designate the prayers of the people. Music is mostly contemporary songs, some joy-filled, and some contemplative, including songs from the Taize community.
