Sharing Our Space

Holy Trinity has been blessed with a large facility that provides us with the opportunity to share our space with ministries which share in our mission to the community.

The Charlotte Children's Choir

The Charlotte Children's Choir founded in 1986 is a broad-based community organization dedicated to choral excellence and providing unique educational and performance opportunities to boys and girls, age 8 through 18, with the goal of attaining the highest level of artistic excellence in choral music performance. The membership represents seven counties, two states and over 90 public and private schools. [Charlotte Children's Choir]

Community School of the Arts

Community School of the Arts is a non-profit organization that has been providing first-rate visual and performing arts education for youth and cultivating a family-focused appreciation of the arts in Charlotte since 1969. Painting, and playing music, students at CSA enjoy themselves, make new friends, and grow in ways they never imagined. First and foremost, CSA students have fun while they develop skills that will last a lifetime. [Community School of the Arts]

Lutheran Family Services

Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas (LFS) is a nationally accredited agency of the North Carolina and South Carolina synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The agency serves more than 10,000 persons annually regardless of religion, race, age, or income and is one of the largest private, non-profit child and family service agencies in the Carolinas. LFS provides group homes for troubled adolescents, foster care (including a special program for children with AIDS), refugee resettlement, immigration services, prison counseling and family enrichment, international adoptions, group homes for developmentally disabled and mentally ill adults, and family counseling education. New Life MCC

New Life MCC is a member congregation of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches. The Christian family that is New Life MCC welcomes women and men of all religious backgrounds. They strive to be open to all, with a special ministry by, with and to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community and their allies and friends. The congregation worships at 6:00 p.m. every Sunday. Their pastor is the Reverend Dr. Timothy Koch. [NewLifeMCCNC]

Time Out Youth

Time Out Youth is a unique organization dedicated to serving the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youths. They exist because the reality for our youth is that:

  • 42% of homeless youths identify themselves as gay or lesbian
  • 28% drop out of school
  • Suicide attempt is 5 times more likely among them

Being a sexual and gender minority, youth face social stigma, suffer from a higher degree of depression, substance abuse, sexual abuse, and violence. Time Out Youth offers support groups in Charlotte, Hickory, and Gastonia. [TimeOutYouth]
