On a Sunday Morning What can you expect if you worship with us on Sunday morning?
You will be accepted as you are regardless of the clothes you wear, the color of your skin, or the way you speak. You will be greeted warmly by other worshippers; we're small enough that we know who our guests are on a Sunday morning. You will not be put on the spot or embarrassed or singled out in any way. You will be asked to give us your name and address but will not be pressured to do so. This is so we know who is worshipping with us and we might drop you a note in the mail, but we assure you that no one will be harassing you or showing up on your doorstep unannounced. At 8:30 you will experience a non-traditional worship service that includes time for personal reflection and contemporary music. At 11:00 you will experience a traditional Lutheran service that follows a liturgical form of worship incorporating a variety of musical styles ranging from early church hymns to contemporary songs. You will find it easy to follow the service using the detailed bulletin we provide.
You will be inspired and challenged through biblically based, Christ-centered messages that are relevant to your life in today's world. You will be invited to partake of Holy Communion with us as we welcome all baptized believers to join us at the Lord's Table, no matter what their religious background may be. You will pass an offering plate down your pew. Offerings are expected of our members, but they are not expected of our guests. If you do choose to make an offering, please do so freely and not because you feel obligated. Your children will be valued as an important part of our worshipping community with:
